Reviews for The Beach Terrace
Review highlights
Based on 1,575 reviewsThe Beach Terrace in Injambakkam is widely praised for its stunning beachside location and scenic ambiance, making it a favored spot for relaxation and photography. Patrons appreciate the spacious indoor and outdoor seating options that enhance the overall dining experience. The restaurant’s atmosphere is often described as classy and peaceful, ideal for casual outings and special occasions alike. However, feedback on the food is mixed, with some noting it as average and lacking strong flavors relative to its premium pricing. Service quality also draws varied responses, with reports of slow service and occasional communication challenges. Overall, The Beach Terrace is celebrated for its views and ambiance, though improvements in food and service could elevate the experience further.
It was a good place for ambiance and beach vibes. Food is average and very expensive. Very big place for sitting inside and outside. Location is also fine. Service is very slow and very hard to understand.
The Beach Terrace, Injambakkam, Chennai (5/159, ECR, Ward 196, South Part 1, Injambakkam, Chennai) I’d heard quite a bit about The Beach Terrace—mostly praise for the dramatic beach view it offers. And let me tell you, that reputation absolutely holds. The setting is stunning, with the coast of the Bay of Bengal stretching out before you, and there are a handful of charming spots within the terrace perfect for great pictures. When it comes to food, it’s neither a standout nor a letdown—it’s comfortably average. Nothing blew us away, but nothing disappointed either. The only hiccup in our experience was that we weren’t aware of the mandatory pre-booking requirement—and paid the price with almost an hour of waiting to get a table. A little heads-up would have saved that. In conclusion, if you're planning to visit The Beach Terrace, go for the ambience and the serene seaside vibe. Just make sure you book ahead, unless you don’t mind waiting to soak up the view.
Had a wonderful dining experience at The Beach Terrace! The location is fantastic — right by the beach, peaceful and scenic. The ambiance is classy and relaxing, perfect for an evening out. The staff were extremely welcoming, always serving with a big smile and ensuring we had a comfortable time. Special thanks to Mr. Aswath, who checked in on us and made sure everything was just right. We ordered Chinese and Continental – the Continental was excellent in both taste and quality, while the Chinese was decent. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it’s worth every penny for the quality, service, and setting. Booking and payment through EazyDiner was smooth and hassle-free. There’s ample parking available, which is a big plus. Only thing to note — I didn't spot any ramps, just steps, so PWD accessibility might be limited. Overall, a great place to unwind with good food and great vibes. Highly recommended!
SUCH a beautiful place, great for taking photos LOVEDDD the view, it's a must visit place just for that. about the food, we ordered like and herb wings which didn't have much flavour, bbq wings were alright, chicken hakka noodles were quite plain. since we booked through Swiggy dineout we had a 10% off on bill with free mocktails. overall i would visit this place just for the view and looks.
I have been seeing this place on my instagram feed from a long time so I decided to visit the beach terrace with my friend’s to chill on weekend. This place is located inside VGP and this place gives a Greece vibes. They have a beach view sitting with multiple food and drinks option to chose from. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. It’s a great spot for photoshoot since the views are amazing there are many spots to click pictures. We all ordered some starters and main course. They have bar inside for people who love to drink. I had visited this place only for the ambience and to click some good pictures. If you are looking for a good place to chill near the beach on weekends this is a great spot. Even for people who love to go for long drives this place is located in ECR, injambakkam. They accept all cards and upi payment. They did had Zomato and Swiggy offer when we went so I booked a table using Zomato and payed it using Zomato app. I’m not sure if they accept drinks payment on Zomato app so before anyone wants to book a table using Zomato just call the resturant and ask them if they accept it on drinks. The views with beach is great. I will visit this place soon.
Visited The Beach Terrace on ECR for a Sunday lunch with my family after seeing its popularity on Instagram. The place is indeed beautiful and lives up to its “Instagram-worthy” tag with great aesthetics and a stunning beachside view. However, there were a few practical concerns during our visit. We arrived around 3 PM, expecting it to be less crowded, but the place was still bustling. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get indoor seating and were allotted one of the tent setups right by the beach. While the view from the beachside tent was lovely and relaxing, the area lacked proper ventilation or fans, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable due to the humidity. We ordered a few starters, fresh juice, and a pizza. The food was served on time and was delicious. The customer service was also courteous and efficient, which made up for the discomfort to some extent. One major area they need to work on is crowd and booking management. It looked like they were accepting more reservations than they could handle, which led to long wait times and some visibly frustrated customers. Despite the drawbacks, The Beach Terrace is definitely a must-try for the ambiance and food. Just make sure to book well in advance and prefer indoor seating, especially on weekends. With a few improvements, this place can offer a truly exceptional dining experience.
One of the beautiful beach restaurant in Chennai inspired by a Greece setup, the whole spot looked picture-worthy. All the dishes we ordered were worthy of the price. We tried ▪︎ Rosemary paprika chicken tenders (so delicious) ▪︎ Fish Al harra (likeable for tangy lovers - fish was fresh, baked and soft) ▪︎ Pollo harissa pizza ( their so called most spicy in pizza but nope it wasn't, but tasty) ▪︎ Fettucine chicken arabiata - decent one, slight tangy tomato taste and not creamy ▪︎ Pistachio tiramisu - bland, okayish Dining was easy and very calm with beach view, restrooms were neat, parking was spacious. Booked via swiggy so we didn't pay any reservation charges and there were discounts. The place is very busy even in the hot noon; recommended in evenings for the vibe.
